Dr. Matthew G. Garoufalis, DPM, FASPS, FACPM, CWS, FFPM RCPS (Glasg), FRSM, is Chief Medical Officer of Advanced Oxygen Therapy, Inc. His professional background spans podiatric medicine and surgery, wound care, limb salvage, medical education, research, and practice management. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (formerly ABPS) with Added Qualification in Wound Care and Limb Preservation.

His subsequent clinical career included service as a Senior Attending Physician and former Podiatric Surgery Residency Director at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, as well as work as an Attending Physician at Hines VA Medical Center.
