SMS Privacy Policy
Consent to Text Messaging
AOTI may contact you through Short Message Service (SMS) or Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) text messaging, which allows AOTI to efficiently exchange information with patients using the Services. Communications, including those involving personal health information, between you and SMS/MMS text messages are not encrypted. You may refuse to permit AOTI to communicate with you through text messaging; however, refusal to do so may result in an inability to utilize the full scope of the services offered by AOTI.
Data Usage
This includes mobile phone numbers, text message content, and, depending on the context, may include health information relevant to your care and other personal identifiers.
Personal data collected via SMS will only be used for the purposes stated at the time of collection such as alerts, reminders, and notification of any changes to the appointments or services.
Even though AOTI takes precautions to maintain the confidentiality of your information, it is important to keep in mind that any information that you provide AOTI via text messaging (SMS and/or MMS), or by other means may not be secure and may be susceptible to third party interception. As a result, you understand and agree that you transmit information to us at your own risk, and that we are not liable for any data breaches.
Opt-Out
By providing your mobile number, you are voluntarily opting-in to the TWO2 Therapy support program or to receive text messages from AOTI. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any SMS or call us on (877) 896-2435 to have your number removed from our list at any time. We will process your request within 24 hours and discontinue sending messages.
Incident Response
In the event of a data breach, AOTI will promptly notify affected individuals and relevant authorities, providing details of the breach and any actions taken to address it.
